In a recent club game this deal was played 8 times with 8 different results and 7 different contracts.

With two passes to you as North, what would you do?
I posted a poll on the Bridge Winners site and 60% of respondents (so far) voted for 1♠ which was also my choice at the table. East overcalled 2♥ and my partner closed the auction with 4♠. This made after the opponents cashed only three of their red suit tricks before East tried to give partner a heart ruff.
