So you set up your suit

East-West vulnerable, your partner, North, deals and opens 1. East overalls 1, you double, partner bids 3 and you try 3NT.

♠ K5
1032
AKJ1084
♣ A2

♠ J1064
A7
Q6
♣ QJ1094

West leads the 5 and East puts up the King. You duck, East returns the 6 and West smartly unblocks the Q.

What do you think of your chances?

East has some values for a vulnerable overcall with KJxxx and that's likely to include the ♠A and ♣K. But it's not as bad as it looks.

After you rattle off the diamonds everyone will have five cards left. If East discards a heart winner you can toss her in with a heart to get your ninth trick. Otherwise the ♣K will be bare and you can drop it.
