Found an error? Post here!

Every once in a while I run across a published bridge deal analysis that seems to have an error. I'll start this topic with one from Ron Klinger's 25 April ABF Daily Bridge Column . ABF Games on BBO

Looks like the ABF is well along the path to offering masterpoints and club games on BBO. Articles are here and here.

Interested players who do not already have a BBO account should sign up for one, and club managers can proceed to send in a form to "express interest".

A couple of changes

Bridge in Oz has now been split off from its parent site which also hosted a sub-forum for expats. As you have doubtless noticed the new primary URL is "https://in-oz.com/bridge". Also there is now a "digests" feature that will email you a weekly summary of new postings in the fo...

Re: Eleven Card Fit

That sounds reasonable, though if partner has no feature then I'll settle for 3D. It's hard to see where 11 tricks would come from.

Eleven Card Fit

Another evening with little to do, my phone's bridge game deals up this hand: A6,Q97,AQ1095,K32 Partner opens 2 ♦ , weak and natural. I bet you're thinking diamonds may be a good trump suit. Applying the Law of Total Tricks you might bid 5 of them. But what about 3NT instead? Would you just bid it? ...

There was a time when bridge was a social occasion. I guess some people still do that? :)

Low-tech Online Bridge?

I was just thinking a conferencing app like Zoom could be used to play bridge in a way that is pretty close to playing in-person. Let's say each player has a laptop computer with a built-in webcam and probably also a headset. The headset is very desirable to avoid feedback loops and generally have g...
